SEC distributes record $209 million

The SEC announced Friday it will distribute approximately $209 million to its 12 members in its revenue sharing plan for the 2009-10 fiscal year, breaking the league mark for the 20th consecutive year in large part because of the league's new TV contract. The announcement was made at the conclusion of the league's annual spring meetings here at the Sandestin Beach Hilton. The SEC signed 15-year television contracts with ESPN ($2.25 billion over 15 years) and CBS ($800 million over 15 years).....more
