Alabama running back Trent Richardson has been named the Southeastern Conference's freshman of the week. Richardson came off the bench to spark Alabama to a 40-14 victory over Florida International on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. He led the Crimson Tide with 118 yards rushing on 15 carries and caught two passes for 23 yards. Richardson scored second-half touchdowns on runs of 9 and 35 yards. . . .Other players honored by the SEC:
